Trauma & Acute Care Surgery Physician - Level III Trauma Center, Indio CA

We’re looking for a skilled Trauma and Acute Care Surgery physician to join a collaborative surgical team in Indio, California. You’ll provide comprehensive trauma and emergency general surgery care in a Level III Trauma Center, working closely with a multidisciplinary group to treat acutely injured and critically ill patients. This full-time position includes inpatient, operative, and consultative responsibilities and offers compensation of $312,000 for nine shifts per month.

What you’ll do

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage trauma patients and emergency general surgery cases.
• Provide perioperative and inpatient surgical care, including consultations and follow-up.
• Perform emergency operative interventions as clinically indicated.
• Participate in rounds and help coordinate care across inpatient units.
• Work alongside advanced practice providers, nurses, and other specialists to ensure smooth patient care.
• Coordinate patient stabilization, transfers, and discharge planning when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinical standards to promote patient safety and quality outcomes.

What we’re looking for

• MD or DO degree.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• Active California medical license.
