Orthopedic Surgeon - Fly-In/Per-Diem Shifts (Susanville & San Jose, CA)

Location: Susanville or San Jose, California

Position overview
Full-time Orthopedic Surgeon to join an established orthopedic department providing surgical and clinical care at sites in Susanville and San Jose.

Qualifications

• MD or DO and completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency
• Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery
• Active California medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Demonstrated experience performing a broad range of orthopedic procedures

Compensation and benefits

• Salary: $366,000
• 183 shifts annually

Key responsibilities

• Perform orthopedic surgeries including joint replacement, arthroscopy, fracture fixation, and related procedures using contemporary techniques
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, establish diagnoses, and develop pre- and post-operative treatment plans
• Participate in multidisciplinary care coordination with surgeons, specialists, and allied health staff
• Contribute to clinical education of medical students, residents, and staff and stay current with advances in orthopedic practice
• Help develop and adhere to clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives
