Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon (Fellowship) - Fly-In Shift Coverage, Houston, TX

Join a collaborative, multi-specialty surgical team just outside Houston, Texas, as a fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon. You’ll work within a surgicalist model to deliver timely, high-quality acute trauma care, help drive performance and quality initiatives, and support the professional growth of colleagues and trainees.

What you’ll do

• Provide comprehensive orthopedic trauma care across the Emergency Department, operating room, and inpatient settings.
• Maintain an on-call response time of 30 minutes to ensure rapid, expert treatment for trauma patients.
• Work closely with trauma surgery, acute care, anesthesia, rehabilitation, and other specialties to coordinate care.
• Participate in surgical decision-making, performance improvement efforts, and quality initiatives.
• Mentor and supervise mid-level providers and trainees, contributing to education and clinical excellence.
• Help develop and follow compliance, protocol, and performance-improvement programs.

Who we’re looking for

• MD or DO with completion of an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship.
• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Active Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Proficient in acute orthopedic trauma techniques, including complex fracture management.
• Strong communicator with proven teamwork and collaboration skills.
