Job Summary:
North Texas Heart Surgery Center at Medical City Alliance is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to care for pre and post-operative cardiac surgery patients.Qualified Candidates:
- Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)
- Texas license or ability to obtain one
- Monday – Friday schedule with rotating weekend coverage
- Have experience in CVICU and knowledge of a variety of mechanical circulatory support devices (intra-aortic balloon pump, Impella, VV/VA ECMO)
- Manage patients in the CVICU recovering from CABG, valve replacement including TAVRs, complex aortic reconstruction, LVAD placement and heart transplantation in addition to our mechanical circulator support patients
- Will cover patient consults and discharges from after surgery
