Job Description
We are seeking Hospitalists to provide inpatient coverage in Iowa. This open-need opportunity offers flexible scheduling with no minimum commitment and the ability to work up to 21 consecutive days. Providers will care for adult patients in a hospital setting, with opportunities for rounding, admissions, and nocturnist coverage. The facility has a supportive clinical care team, 24/7 intensivist coverage, and 24/7 anesthesia support.
Overview
- Flexible scheduling with no minimum commitment
- One provider per shift
- Adults 18+
- Trauma Level III
- Daytime rounding and inpatient admissions
- Nocturnist coverage with sole provider responsibility overnight
- Rounders typically complete 2–3 admissions per day
- Admitting providers average 8–10 admissions per day
- Nocturnists average 5–8 admissions per night
- Telehospitalist support available for cross-coverage
- Respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response events
- Ventilator management required
- Providers must remain on campus while on shift
Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible

Internal Medicine training required

ACLS and BLS certifications required
