Overnight Cardiothoracic Surgery NP/PA - Night Float (Denver, CO) - $210K

Join a high-performing cardiothoracic surgery team in the Denver, CO area as an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant providing overnight coverage across the ICU and inpatient cardiothoracic ward. Schedule & Compensation

• Night shift: 5:00 PM - 6:30 AM
• 14 shifts per month (two weeks on / two weeks off)
• Annual salary: $210,000

Clinical Setting & Patient Volume

• Large, well-supported hospital with advanced resources
• Coverage responsibilities across cardiothoracic surgery unit and ICU
• Typical nightly census: 3-6 ICU patients and 10-15 inpatients

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overnight clinical coverage for cardiothoracic surgery patients in ICU and inpatient settings
• Assess, stabilize, and manage acute changes in patient condition
• Coordinate care and treatment plans with attending physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure continuity of care by documenting and communicating clinical updates to the daytime team

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant eligible for Colorado licensure
• Prior ICU or cardiac clinical experience required
• Cardiothoracic surgery or critical care experience strongly preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; acute-care specialty certification preferred
