Anesthesiologist - Board-Certified/Eligible, Academic Teaching Role at Level I Trauma & Burn Center (Phoenix)

Join a university-affiliated teaching facility in metropolitan Phoenix as a full-time Anesthesiologist. This role blends diverse clinical practice with teaching at a state-designated Level I Adult Trauma Center and an American Burn Association-verified Burn Center. You will support a new anesthesiology residency program that welcomed its inaugural class in 2026. Board-Certified or Board-Eligible general and subspecialty-trained anesthesiologists are encouraged to apply. Residents and fellows completing training in 2027 and candidates requiring H-1B visa sponsorship will be considered.

• Annual compensation: $461,000-$489,000

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide perioperative anesthesia care for adult and pediatric patients across a wide range of specialties, including labor and delivery, neonatal and pediatric surgery, general and robotic surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, plastic surgery, burn care, trauma, orthopedics, and podiatry
• Participate in teaching, supervision, and mentoring of residents and learners as part of the residency program

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Training in general anesthesiology or a subspecialty
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with complex case-mix
• Demonstrated interest in academic medicine, teaching, and mentorship
