Family Medicine Physician — Employed Mercy Health, Large Patient Panel in Springfield, OH

Mercy Health – Family Physicians of Springfield invites a primary care physician to join a growing, employed practice and absorb the patient panel of a colleague relocating out of state. Springfield, OH offers small city, suburban, small town and rural living options with easy access to larger metro areas—40 minutes to Columbus and 35 minutes to Dayton.

Practice details

• Option to take your own call or participate in a rotation (one week every six weeks with cross-coverage)
• Typical physician panel after ramp-up: 22–25 patients per day
• Primary care for all age groups, including in-person and virtual visits

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive histories and physical exams; assess, diagnose, and establish treatment plans
• Order medications, labs, and treatments within Ohio Medical Board and Mercy Health credentialing guidelines
• Coordinate referrals and multidisciplinary care; provide patient counseling and follow-up
• Participate in call schedule and quality improvement initiatives (Medicare, CPC+, Mercy Health programs)

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain one
