Job Description
Bolivar Medical Center is actively recruiting a Family Medicine OB Physician to join our established Women’s Health Clinic. We are a 164-bed general acute care hospital and are a comprehensive healthcare facility that provides inpatient, outpatient and emergency department services. Our specialists do more than treat illness and injury. Combining state-of-the-art facilities, world-class technology, and advanced clinical programming, we are committed to keeping quality healthcare close to home, with a focus on maintaining and growing quality primary and specialty care services. We strive to ensure every patient and their loved ones have everything they need to feel comforted, every step of their journey to recovery.
About the position:
- Clinic Hours: M-F 8a-5p; joins the Women’s Health Clinic
- Schedule: Flexible - 36 patient care hours
- Call: joins the OB call rotation – 1:3 (with FTE and locums support)
- Practice expected to be 60% OB
- Average patients per day (when ramped): 25-30
- Department: 1OB, locums support, Uro for GYN, U/S tech, lab tech, RN support
- No robotics
- Outpatient therapy support for pelvic floor and other female needs
- Staff is stable and long-term
- Deliveries by the team: ~300 babies/year
Qualifications:
- BE/BC in Family Medicine
- Surgical OB fellowship or equivalent experience required for C-sections, etc.
- Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of MS and DEA with full prescriptive authority

About Bolivar Medical Center
Bolivar Medical Center (BMC) is a 165-bed acute-care general hospital that includes a 35-bed nursing home. BMC’s medical campus also features the Medical Office Building and an Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility with staff offering adult and pediatric physical, occupational and speech therapy as well as an aquatic therapy program.
