LPN/LVN Long-Term Care (9-Week Contract, Concord NH | $1,104/40h, Day Shift)

Contract (non-travel) Licensed Practical Nurse needed in Concord, NH. Start ASAP for a 9-week assignment. Schedule: 07:00 AM–03:30 PM. Local rate: $1,104/40 hours.

Minimum requirements:

• Active, valid LPN license for the state of New Hampshire
• BLS certification

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician supervision, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and vital sign monitoring.
• Perform focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, monitor for effects and complications, and document thoroughly.
• Clean, dress, and manage wounds; monitor for signs of infection or other complications.
• Insert, monitor, and maintain IV lines and urinary catheters according to protocol.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records and communicate changes in condition to the care team.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
• Support patient comfort and safety: positioning, mobility assistance, pain management.
• Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support as needed.
• Follow infection control policies and proper PPE use; handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies safely.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and support staff to ensure coordinated care; may supervise CNAs/UAPs when assigned.
• Participate in ongoing education to stay current with nursing practices and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
