Schedule: 07:00 AM–03:30 PM, Sun–Sat
Rate: Local: $589/16-hours

Requirements

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) state license
  • BLS certification
  • Current, valid documentation as required by facility/employer

Core responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, ADL assistance.
  • Perform focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately, following protocols and medication safety procedures.
  • Assess, clean, dress, and manage wounds; monitor for infection and complications.
  • Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition; maintain accurate medical records.
  • Insert, monitor and care for IV lines and administer IV medications/fluids where authorized.
  • Manage urinary catheters (insertion, maintenance, monitoring for complications) as permitted by scope.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
  • Provide basic comfort, mobility assistance, positioning, and pain management.
  • Respond to emergencies following facility protocols and provide basic life support as needed.
  • Follow infection control practices and proper PPE use.
  • Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and medical supplies per policy and regulations.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs and support staff to coordinate patient care.
  • Supervise CNAs/UAPs when assigned and ensure task delegation aligns with scope of practice.
  • Maintain professional development and comply with regulatory and facility standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
