Position: Neonatology — Locum Tenens
Coverage period: June 2 – December 31, 2026 (ongoing coverage beyond listed dates)
Coverage type: Clinical only; supplemental coverage
Schedule and clinical load
- Typical shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Frequency: 4–6 night shifts per month
- Specific dates needed initially: Jun 2, 4, 7, 17, 23, 25–27 (plus ongoing night coverage)
- Admissions: 0–4 per shift
- Census: up to 12 patients per day
- NICU: Level III, 15 beds
- Required to attend C-sections and manage/transfer neonates
Team and setting
- Physicians in practice: 3 FT, 2 PT, 4 contingent providers
- Must be currently practicing at a Level 3 or 4 NICU
- Service setting: inpatient only
Systems, privileges, and benefits
- EMR: Cerner, eCare, PowerChart
- Temporary privileges accepted
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology
- Fellowship trained in Neonatology
- Michigan medical license
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications
- NPDB report and clean background check
- Local provider status (able to practice in the area)
