Job Summary:

HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center is seeking a cardiothoracic surgical APP to provide support to a busy transplant/MCS surgeon at the launch of a new program. The Houston Heart Medical Center currently supports a large cardiogenic shock program and robust ECMO and temp MCS program.  This expanding program is now launching into durable MCS and heart transplant, and the group is seeking a dynamic, driven, patient centric APP partner to join our exceptional team of skilled, motivated and dedicated providers.  Seeking an exceptional candidate who is ready to be a foundation team member for this patient first program. 

Qualified Candidates:

• Certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA or Nurse Practitioner by AANP (Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) certification for NPs). 
• Ability to obtain or maintain an active Texas medical license
• Must have strong heart failure & transplant surgery experience
• Responsible for inpatient and outpatient MCS/OHT patient care
• Provide OR surgical support
• Participate actively in the ICU
