Join a growing elective general surgery practice in Fort Smith, Arkansas, as a locum Board-Certified General Surgeon. This non‑trauma, elective-focused role offers a predictable schedule and strong work–life balance while supporting expansion of the program in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
Practice details
- Elective general surgery practice (non‑trauma)
- Schedule: 3 weeks on / 1 week off
- Focus: planned surgical cases and outpatient/inpatient elective procedures
Key responsibilities
- Perform a full range of elective general surgery procedures
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including EGD and colonoscopy
- Contribute to program growth and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of providers and support staff
- Deliver patient-centered care with timely, accurate documentation
Qualifications
- Board Certified in General Surgery
- Active Arkansas medical license or ability to obtain one
- Demonstrated experience in endoscopy (EGD and colonoscopy) required
