Locum Orthopedic Trauma Physician Assistant (PA) — Beaumont, TX, Hospital-Based

We’re looking for a compassionate, experienced Locums Physician Assistant to join a hospital-based orthopedic and trauma team in Beaumont, TX. You’ll work alongside fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeons and other APPs, providing around-the-clock care across the ER, OR, and inpatient units. This is a fast-paced, high-acuity role—ideal for someone comfortable managing trauma and orthopedic cases from consult through discharge.

Compensation: $800 per shift

What you’ll do

• Provide comprehensive orthopedic and trauma care in the emergency department, operating room, and on the wards
• Perform orthopedic consults and assist during surgical procedures
• Manage post-operative care, including rounding, wound checks, and discharges
• Provide splinting, casting, wound care, and other procedural support
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and maintain clear communication with attending physicians and nursing staff
• Ensure timely, accurate documentation of patient care

Who we’re looking for

• Graduate of an accredited PA program with national certification
• Active Texas license, or the ability to obtain one
• 1–2+ years of experience in orthopedics, trauma surgery, or acute care required
• Strong procedural skills and the ability to thrive in high-acuity clinical settings
