Per Diem Orthopedic Trauma PA — $4,500/Shift, Hospital-Based ER/OR/Inpatient Role

We’re looking for a skilled, compassionate Per Diem Physician Assistant to join a hospital-based orthopedic and trauma team in Beaumont, TX. In this role you’ll help deliver around-the-clock orthopedic and trauma care alongside a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgery team, working across the emergency department, operating room, and inpatient units. This position is ideal for providers who have orthopedic and/or trauma experience and are comfortable in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.

Compensation

• $4,500 per shift

What you’ll do

• Provide comprehensive orthopedic and trauma care in the ED, OR, and on the wards
• Perform orthopedic consults and assist in surgical cases
• Manage post-operative care including rounding and coordinating discharges
• Assist with splinting, casting, wound care, and bedside procedures
• Communicate closely with attending physicians, nursing staff, and other care team members
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure smooth interdisciplinary coordination

Who we’re looking for

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Active Texas PA license, or ability to obtain one
• National certification (e.g., NCCPA)
• 1–2+ years of experience in orthopedics, trauma surgery, or acute care strongly preferred
• Strong procedural skills and comfort working in high-acuity clinical settings
