Job Description

Our hospital-employed team in Great Falls, MT seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible nocturnist to join a collaborative, well-respected hospitalist program. This full-time role offers a balanced 15-on/15-off schedule (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), modern facilities, comprehensive specialty support including an open ICU, and a culture that emphasizes physician well-being and professional growth.

Practice highlights:

  • Full-time, hospital-employed nocturnist position with 15-on/15-off schedule
  • Night coverage alongside a dedicated nocturnist partner and Pulmonary/Critical Care physician
  • Telemedicine Critical Care/Pulmonology and on-call specialty support
  • Day team of 2 physicians and 2 nurse practitioners for continuity of care
  • Typical hospitalist census: ~15 patients; nursing ratio 1:5 adjusted for acuity
  • Procedure experience preferred but not required
  • Access to advanced diagnostics and technology

Hospital features:

  • 36-bed acute care facility with full specialty backup
  • 10-bed open ICU
  • Two cath labs with an 8-bed pre/post-procedure unit
  • Five operating rooms plus a four-room ambulatory surgery center
  • Five observation beds and an eight-bed Emergency Department staffed by experienced clinicians

Requirements:

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Eligible for Montana medical licensure
  • Comfort with common hospital procedures preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient-centered teamwork
