Schedule:

• 24-hour call shifts, 7a–7a
• 9–11 shifts per month

Clinical Responsibilities:

• In-hospital consults, ED trauma and general surgery call, and transfer call center patients
• Anticipated 5–8 phone consults per 24-hour call
• Manage adult general surgical and trauma cases
• Perform central line and chest tube insertion
• Perform abdominal procedures, placement of vascular access devices, and cholecystectomy

Facility/Resources:

• Trauma Level III
• Onsite lab, radiology, and procedure room
• Diagnostic imaging available except barium enema and esophageal/swallow studies
• EMR: Cerner
• Current 1-app floor rounder

Compensation/Logistics:

• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided

Requirements:

• Active Michigan medical license
• Board Certified in General Surgery
• DEA registration
• Drive-in candidates only
• NPDB self-query (pulled within 30 days)
