Position Summary

The Center Clinical Director is responsible for supervising and developing Primary Care Providers (PCPs) within an assigned center while driving clinical quality, operational efficiency, provider engagement, and patient satisfaction.

This role combines clinical leadership responsibilities with direct patient care. Time allocation between leadership and clinical duties varies based on center size, provider capacity, and market needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and coach PCPs within the assigned center
  • Drive clinical quality outcomes and operational excellence
  • Lead care team collaboration and physician engagement initiatives
  • Support provider development and performance improvement
  • Participate in center leadership and operational planning
  • Deliver direct patient care for adult and geriatric populations
  • Coordinate care with specialists, hospitalists, and transitional care teams
  • Lead clinical meetings and daily operational discussions
  • Support physician recruiting and interviewing efforts
  • Partner with operational leadership to improve center performance and patient growth

Qualifications

  • MD or DO required
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in:
    • Internal Medicine
    • Family Medicine
    • Geriatrics
    • Or related specialty
  • Active Virginia medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA license required
  • BLS certification required
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Experience in value-based care, population health, managed care, or chronic disease management preferred
