Schedule: Daily (Sun–Sat), 2:30 PM–11:00 PM
Rate: Local: $944 / 32 hours

Minimum requirements

  • Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Primary responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction, including medication administration, wound care, and vital signs monitoring.
  • Perform patient assessments (physical exam, medical history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and per protocol.
  • Evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor wounds/incisions for infection or complications.
  • Continuously monitor and document vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respirations).
  • Maintain accurate patient records: condition changes, treatments, medications, and interventions.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatments, and self-care.
  • Administer and monitor IV medications/fluids; ensure proper IV line insertion and function.
  • Manage urinary catheters: insertion, maintenance, and monitoring for complications.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (RNs, physicians, therapists, support staff) for coordinated care.
  • Provide patient comfort and safety measures: positioning, mobility assistance, and pain management.
  • Respond to medical emergencies per protocol and provide basic life support as needed.
  • Follow infection control practices, including hand hygiene and PPE use.
  • Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies safely and in compliance with regulations.
  • Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and participate in health assessments.
  • Advocate for patient rights and needs within the healthcare team.
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
  • Maintain professional competence through continuing education and training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
