Contract Licensed Practical Nurse — Laconia, NH (Local, Non-Travel)
Start: ASAP | Duration: 11 weeks | Shift: 06:45 PM–07:15 AM | Rate: $1,098/36 hrs

Overview
Join a patient-centered team providing direct nursing care in Laconia. As an LPN you will support RNs and physicians in delivering safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care across a variety of clinical needs.

Requirements

  • Active, valid LPN license for the state of New Hampshire
  • BLS certification

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Conduct focused patient assessments (physical exams, histories, medication reviews) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately, adhering to protocols and documenting administration.
  • Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds and surgical sites for infection or complications.
  • Obtain and process patient specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient condition, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
  • Assist with patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management; provide basic life support during emergencies.
  • Follow strict infection control practices and proper handling, storage, and disposal of medications and supplies.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care and advocate for patient needs.
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when appropriate.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with nursing standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
