Join a 13‑week contract Physical Therapy assignment in Waterville, ME (ASAP start). Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Rate: Travel $2,317/35 hrs; Local $2,282/35 hrs.

Requirements:

  • Valid, active state Physical Therapy license.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross, with AED).

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough evaluations, review medical history, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to determine patient needs.
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation goals.
  • Design therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, and mobility.
  • Deliver manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft‑tissue techniques, manual stretching) to reduce pain and restore function.
  • Utilize modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain and support tissue healing.
  • Instruct and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) to maximize safe mobility.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on diagnoses, treatment plans, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Develop and adjust pain‑management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual techniques.
  • Support patients in regaining independence after surgery, injury, or illness and promote functional outcomes.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress; revise plans of care as needed.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation of assessments, interventions, progress notes, and changes in condition.
  • Adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards and obtain informed consent.
  • Provide culturally sensitive care and respond to diverse patient needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
