Schedule: Night shift — 11:00 PM–7:30 AM, Sun–Sat
Rate: Local: $1,584/40 hours

Required:

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Core responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, and basic procedures.
  • Conduct patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments per orders, ensuring correct dosing and documentation.
  • Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds/incisions for infection or complications.
  • Monitor and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respiration) and changes in condition.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records including treatments and medication administration.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
  • Initiate and monitor IV therapy and IV medication administration as permitted by policy.
  • Provide urinary catheter care (insertion per facility policy if applicable), maintenance, and monitoring.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
  • Assist with patient mobility, positioning, comfort, and pain management.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support per protocols.
  • Follow infection control practices and PPE use; handle, store, and dispose of medications/supplies safely.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and support staff to coordinate care.
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
  • Advocate for patient rights and needs.
  • Maintain current knowledge of nursing best practices through ongoing education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
