Schedule: Sun–Sat, 07:00 AM–11:00 PM
Rate: Local: $1,178/32 hours

Requirements:

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for the state of New Hampshire
  • BLS certification

Core responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN or physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, and routine treatments.
  • Perform patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care planning.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and per protocol; document administration.
  • Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds and incisions for infection or complications.
  • Continuously monitor and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respiration).
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation of condition changes, treatments, and medications.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventative measures.
  • Initiate, monitor, and document IV therapy and IV site function as required.
  • Manage urinary catheters: insertion (if applicable), maintenance, and monitoring for complications.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing and ensure proper labeling/handling.
  • Communicate and collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
  • Assist with patient comfort, positioning, mobility, and basic pain management.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support following facility protocols.
  • Follow infection control practices and proper use of PPE.
  • Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies according to regulations.
  • Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and participate in health promotion activities.
  • Advocate for patients’ rights and needs within the care team.
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
  • Participate in ongoing education to maintain competency and comply with regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
