Join a contract, non-travel LPN assignment in Rochester, NH — start ASAP for an 8-week engagement. The schedule is nights: 11:00 PM–3:30 PM, seven days as scheduled (Sun–Sat). Compensation: $1,267 per 32-hour period (local).

Minimum requirements:

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Role overview:
Provide direct patient care under the direction of RNs and physicians. Responsibilities include medication administration, wound care, ongoing assessments, documentation, and basic emergency response. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, support patient and family education, and uphold infection-control and safety standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct focused patient assessments (vital signs, physical checks, medication reviews) and contribute to individualized care planning.
  • Safely administer prescribed medications, IV fluids/medications, and treatments per protocols; manage IV lines.
  • Perform wound care: evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor wounds and surgical sites for complications.
  • Monitor, record, and report changes in patient condition; maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
  • Provide urinary catheter care (insertion where applicable, maintenance, and complication surveillance).
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
  • Promote patient comfort and safety through positioning, mobility assistance, and pain management.
  • Deliver patient and caregiver education regarding diagnoses, medications, and self-care.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support as needed.
  • Follow strict infection control practices and safe medication/supply handling and disposal.
  • Advocate for patient needs and coordinate care with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs/UAPs, and support staff.
  • Participate in continuing education to maintain competency and compliance with current nursing standards.
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
