Schedule: Nights, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM, Sun–Sat
Rate: Local: $950 / 24-hour shift

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, ADL support.
  • Perform focused patient assessments (physical exam, medical history, medication review) to implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately, following protocols and documenting appropriately.
  • Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds/incisions for infection or complications.
  • Monitor and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respirations) and report significant changes.
  • Maintain accurate patient records: condition changes, treatments, medication administration.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and self-care instructions.
  • Administer and monitor IV medications/fluids; ensure IV line integrity.
  • Care for urinary catheters: insertion (if within scope), maintenance, and complication monitoring.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate patient care.
  • Address patient comfort and safety needs, including positioning, mobility assistance, and pain management.
  • Respond to medical emergencies per facility protocols and provide basic life support as needed.
  • Follow infection control practices and use PPE correctly.
  • Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies per regulations.
  • Promote preventive health measures (vaccinations, screenings) and support health assessments.
  • Advocate for patient rights and appropriate care.
  • May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
