Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room (OR) Machias, ME (Contract)

We’re seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a surgical team in Machias, ME on a contract/travel assignment starting ASAP. This is a 40-hour position with a competitive rate of $2,424 per week.

What you’ll be doing

• Prepare patients, instruments, and the OR for procedures and ensure the environment meets safety and sterile standards.
• Serve as a circulating nurse or scrub nurse during surgery, supporting the surgical team and anticipating needs.
• Monitor patient status throughout procedures, administer medications as appropriate, and maintain strict sterile technique.
• Accurately document all aspects of surgical care and follow established protocols and policies.
• Provide pre- and post-operative education and support to patients and their families.

What we’re looking for

• Active RN license in the practicing state.
• Perioperative/Operating Room experience is preferred.
• Strong clinical skills, excellent organization, and clear communication.
• BLS required; CNOR or other specialty certifications are a plus.
