Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) Long Term Care, Albuquerque, NM (13-week Contract)

Join our team in Albuquerque, NM as a contracted Licensed Practical Nurse for a 13-week assignment starting ASAP. This local, non-travel role offers a 36-hour week (Mon–Wed, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM) at a rate of $914/36-hours.

Required credentials

• Valid, active LPN license for the state of New Mexico
• BLS certification

Core responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under RN or physician supervision, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and monitoring of vital signs.
• Perform patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
• Accurately administer and document prescribed medications and treatments; maintain secure handling and disposal of medications and supplies.
• Evaluate and manage wounds and incisions; monitor for infection or complications.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing and document results and clinical changes in the medical record.
• Monitor and document vital signs and patient condition; report significant changes to the care team.
• Provide patient and family education on conditions, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
• Assist with patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management; respond effectively to emergencies following facility protocols.
• Adhere to infection control standards, proper PPE use, and safe clinical practices.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
• When applicable, supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and other duties as assigned by management.
