Rate: Local: $1,264/40-hours

Required credentials:

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Core responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care per RN/physician guidance, including medication administration, wound care, and vital signs monitoring.
  • Perform patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately, following protocols and documenting appropriately.
  • Manage wounds and dressings; monitor for infection and complications.
  • Monitor and document vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respiration) and changes in condition.
  • Maintain accurate patient records of assessments, treatments, and medication administration.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, self-care, and preventive measures.
  • Administer and monitor IV medications/fluids; ensure proper IV insertion/function.
  • Provide care for urinary catheters (insertion, maintenance, monitoring).
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
  • Address patient comfort and safety needs (positioning, mobility assistance, pain management).
  • Respond to medical emergencies per protocol and provide basic life support as required.
  • Follow infection control practices (hand hygiene, PPE use) and safe handling/disposal of medications and supplies.
  • Advocate for patient rights and needs within the care team.
  • Participate in ongoing education to maintain nursing best practices and regulatory compliance.
  • May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
