LPN — Behavioral Health (Substance Abuse/Detox) — 13-Week Contract, Penn Run PA

We’re looking for an experienced LPN to join a behavioral health team in Penn Run, PA, for a 13-week contract starting ASAP. You’ll work 12-hour days (36 hours/week) caring for patients going through alcohol and drug detox in a structured, recovery-focused setting. Pay is $1,472 per 36 hours for travel candidates and $1,418 per 36 hours for local hires.

What you’ll do:

• Monitor patients through the detox process and watch closely for withdrawal symptoms or behavioral escalation.
• Report changes and concerns to the RN and clinical team promptly.
• Administer medications and PRN treatments as ordered and document all care clearly.
• Assist with intake, admission, and discharge tasks.
• Provide basic nursing care and emotional support, helping maintain a therapeutic, structured environment.
• Observe safety risks, carry out required observation protocols, and follow infection control procedures.
• Communicate effectively with RNs, providers, and the interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery.

What we need from you:

• Active, unrestricted LPN license for practice in Pennsylvania.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Prior experience in behavioral health, detox, psychiatric, or rehab settings is preferred.
• Ability to recognize withdrawal symptoms and signs of behavioral escalation.
• Strong observation, communication, and patient-support skills.
