Assignment: Contract/Travel — 13 weeks, ASAP start
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week
Rate: Travel $1,804/36 hrs · Local $1,735/36 hrs

Position overview:
Seek an RN experienced in behavioral health/substance abuse detox to provide direct nursing care in a high-acuity detox/psychiatric setting. Must perform assessments, manage withdrawal and medication administration, ensure patient safety, and document care while working with an interdisciplinary team.

Required qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Pennsylvania
• CPR/BLS certification required (ACLS preferred depending on facility)
• Experience in behavioral health, detox, psychiatric, or substance-abuse settings preferred
• Strong skills in withdrawal and mental-health assessment
• Ability to manage high-acuity behavioral situations calmly and professionally

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for detox and behavioral-health patients
• Monitor and manage withdrawal symptoms (alcohol, opioids, other substances)
• Administer ordered medications, including MAT and PRNs
• Observe, recognize, and respond to behavioral changes, mental-health symptoms, and clinical deterioration
• Implement and maintain patient-safety measures (suicide risk, elopement precautions, etc.)
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, counselors, and the interdisciplinary treatment team
• Support admission/intake screening and discharge planning
• Provide patient education on recovery, relapse prevention, and medication adherence
• Follow facility policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
