Scope:
Provide perioperative nursing care in the operating room, functioning as circulating or scrub nurse as required to support safe, efficient surgical services.

Minimum Requirements:

• Active RN license in practicing state
• BLS certification
• Perioperative/OR experience preferred
• CNOR or other specialty certifications preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, organization, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients, instruments, equipment, and OR environment for scheduled and unscheduled procedures
• Serve as circulating or scrub nurse, assisting the surgical team and maintaining sterile technique
• Monitor and document patient status intraoperatively; administer medications per protocol
• Accurately complete perioperative documentation and ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards
• Provide patient and family education on pre- and post-operative care and discharge instructions
