Travel RN Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) Hilo, HI (36 hrs/week, $1,930/36-hr)

Join a contract travel assignment in Hilo, HI, beginning ASAP. This CVU position offers $1,930 per 36-hour week.

Requirements:

• Active RN license for the state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Prior experience in CVU, telemetry, ICU, or other critical care settings preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Proficient with cardiovascular monitoring, cardiac rhythms, and related procedures.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to cardiovascular unit patients, including pre- and post-procedure monitoring.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and responses to interventions.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
• Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide patient and family education on cardiovascular conditions, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Document care promptly and thoroughly in the electronic health record.
• Identify and respond to changes in patient condition, including emergencies, following unit protocols.
• Adhere to CVU policies, safety standards, and participate in quality improvement and professional development activities.
