Join a team in Hilo, Hawaii as a travel Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Unit (CVU). This contract begins ASAP and offers $1,930 for a 36-hour shift week.

What you’ll bring

• Current RN license for practice in Hawaii
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Hands-on experience in CVU, telemetry, ICU, or other critical care settings preferred
• Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and clear communication
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Familiarity with cardiovascular monitoring, cardiac rhythms, and common CVU procedures

What you’ll do

• Deliver direct nursing care to CVU patients, including pre- and post-procedure monitoring
• Continuously assess vitals, cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and patient responses to treatments
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments safely and accurately
• Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Teach patients and families about cardiovascular conditions, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Document all care promptly and accurately in the electronic health record
• Recognize and act on changes in patient condition, including emergencies
• Follow unit policies, protocols, and safety standards
• Contribute to quality improvement efforts and stay current through continuing education
