In 2000, HCA Florida Capital Hospital announced a new $100 million dollar replacement hospital designed by world-renowned architect Michael Graves, known for his design of the NCAA Hall of Champions and his designs for domestic products sold at Target stores. In 2003, the brand new 198-bed acute care hospital opened its doors with the areas only all-private bed facility. Today, an additional 44 beds are currently being built and will be ready for patients in early 2013. HCA Florida Capital Hospital offers a Comprehensive Breast Center, Cancer Center, Family Center, an accredited Chest Pain Center, 24/7 Emergency Services, Heart & Vascular Services, Surgical Services and more.

Job Summary:

HCA Healthcare Pathology Services and their North Florida Division are seeking a PRN pathologist to provide floating coverage at our hospitals in the North Central Florida market.

Qualified Candidates:

AP/CP certification or board eligibility
Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain
Comfortable with the full scope of AP and CP for community hospital practice
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Pathology Work Description:

Wide range of surgical pathology specimens
Cytology cases primarily consist of a variety of non-GYN specimens, thyroid FNA’s, and lung FNA’s
Clinical pathology may include peripheral smears and blood bank reviews.
