Job Title: Occupational Therapist – Inpatient Rehabilitation (IPR)

Contract Details: Detroit, MI 48236

• Duration: 8 Weeks
• Possible extension and/or conversion to full-time employment (FTE)

Schedule Options:

Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Position 1:

• 4 x 10-hour shifts
• Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, & Saturday

Position 2:

• 4 x 10-hour shifts
• Sunday – Wednesday

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to support the Inpatient Rehabilitation (IPR) unit. The OT will evaluate and treat patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery while collaborating with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to improve patient independence and functional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting
• Develop individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and daily functioning
• Provide therapeutic interventions and patient/family education
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation teams
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and rehabilitation protocols

Required Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist license
• Experience in Inpatient Rehabilitation (IPR) required
• Current BLS certification required
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills

Additional Information:

Overtime is billable after 40 hours worked per week
