Travel Physical Therapist (PT) — Contract | Rochester, NH (14-week)

Join a 14-week contract serving Rochester, NH, starting ASAP. Full-time schedule: 08:00 AM–04:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $1,754/35 hrs; Local rate $1,726/35 hrs.

Qualifications:

• Active, valid Physical Therapy license in the practicing state.
• Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED included).

Overview of responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive evaluations, review medical histories, and collaborate with the care team to determine patient needs and goals.
• Create individualized treatment plans and measurable rehabilitation goals.
• Implement and progress therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, and functional mobility.
• Employ manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching) and physical modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain and promote healing.
• Instruct and fit patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and train safe use.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
• Develop and teach home exercise programs to support continuity of care.
• Monitor, document, and adjust treatment based on patient progress; maintain accurate, timely records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain professional, ethical, and legal standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
• Provide culturally sensitive care and adapt approaches to meet diverse patient needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
