Join a Franklin, NH team as a Licensed Practical Nurse for a 13-week contract starting ASAP. This evening/night position follows a 7:00 PM–7:30 AM shift pattern, offering local pay of $1,098 per 36-hour block.

What we need from you

  • Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for the state of New Hampshire
  • Current BLS certification

What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians. Typical duties include:

  • Performing focused patient assessments (physical checks, medical history, medication review) and contributing to individualized care plans
  • Administering medications and treatments safely and accurately, following protocols and documenting appropriately
  • Monitoring, cleaning, dressing, and managing wounds while watching for signs of infection or complications
  • Checking and recording vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration) and noting any changes in condition
  • Inserting, monitoring, and caring for IVs and administering IV medications/fluids when required
  • Caring for urinary catheters: insertion, routine maintenance, and complication surveillance
  • Collecting specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing
  • Educating patients and families about diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive measures
  • Assisting with mobility, positioning, comfort measures, and pain management to promote safety and dignity
  • Responding promptly in emergencies and providing basic life support as needed
  • Following infection control standards, including hand hygiene and appropriate PPE use
  • Handling, storing, and disposing of medications and supplies safely and in compliance with regulations
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team—RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff—to coordinate care
  • Advocating for patient needs and rights and supporting wellness initiatives like vaccinations and screenings
  • Supervising CNAs or other unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned
  • Maintaining accurate, timely documentation of patient care and ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
