Contract/Travel opportunity in Winchester, NH — 15-week assignment starting ASAP. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel: $1,505/35 hrs; Local: $1,484/35 hrs.

Requirements

  • Active, valid Physical Therapy license in the practicing state.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED).

Role overview and key responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments, review medical histories, and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to determine patient needs and goals.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable rehabilitation objectives.
  • Design and implement therapeutic exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, coordination, and functional mobility.
  • Deliver manual therapy techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, therapeutic stretching) to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
  • Administer modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold as appropriate to support tissue healing and symptom control.
  • Instruct patients in safe and effective use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Implement pain management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual techniques.
  • Support patients’ return to independence after surgery, injury, or illness, adjusting interventions to meet changing needs.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, modify treatment plans as indicated, and maintain accurate, timely clinical records (assessments, treatments, progress notes).
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
  • Provide individualized home exercise programs to reinforce clinic-based therapy.
  • Adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards; obtain informed consent and demonstrate cultural sensitivity in patient interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
