Rate: Travel: $1,876/35-hours; Local: $1,848/35-hours

Requirements:

  • Valid, active state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing function using clinical evaluation and diagnostic tests
  • Diagnose type and severity of communication and swallowing disorders
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
  • Provide direct therapy for articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language
  • Evaluate and treat dysphagia; implement and teach safe swallowing strategies
  • Recommend and train patients/families on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as needed
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, strategies, and exercises
  • Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on outcomes
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
  • Support patients in generalizing communication skills to daily life, school, or work settings
  • Maintain professional development and stay current with evidence-based practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
