LPN/LVN Night Shift 12-Week Contract, Long-Term Care Marlinton, WV

We’re seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse for a 12-week contract (non-travel) in Marlinton, WV, starting ASAP. This is a local position with a night shift schedule (07:00 PM–07:30 AM) and pays $1,084 per 36 hours.

What we need from you:

• A valid, active LPN license for the state.
• Current BLS certification.

What you’ll be doing:
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under RN or physician direction — everything from medication administration and wound care to routine assessments and vital-sign monitoring. You’ll perform physical assessments, review histories and medications, and help develop individualized care plans. Accuracy is important: you’ll administer meds and treatments, monitor IVs and catheters, collect lab specimens, and document changes in condition and care delivered.

Patient comfort and safety are priorities. You’ll assist with positioning and mobility, manage pain, watch for infection or complications, and respond quickly in emergencies following established protocols. Infection control, proper handling and disposal of meds and supplies, and adherence to facility procedures are expected at all times.

You’ll also teach patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care, promote preventive health measures, and advocate for patients’ needs. Collaboration is key — you’ll work closely with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and support staff. On occasion you may supervise CNAs or other assistive personnel.

Professional growth matters: we expect you to stay up to date with best practices and participate in required training. Additional duties may be assigned by management as needed.
