A respected healthcare organization in Cheshire, CT is seeking a Locum Family Medicine Physician to provide outpatient primary care coverage during recruitment for a permanent provider. Compensation

• $150 per hour

Position details

• Setting: Outpatient primary care
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (lunch included)
• No weekends
• Average patient load: ~20 patients/day
• No procedures required
• Shared call rotation: ~1:8 weeks

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient primary care, including acute, chronic, and preventive care
• Perform annual wellness exams and routine preventive visits
• Manage medication refills, follow-ups, and chronic disease care plans
• Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation
• Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
• Active Connecticut medical license required
• Minimum of 5 years’ family medicine experience preferred
• Strong outpatient clinical skills and effective patient communication
• Ability to work independently in a busy primary care setting
