Locum Tenens Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon — Phoenix & Tucson, AZ

Physician-led organization seeks Locum Fellowship-trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon for hospital-based coverage in Arizona (Phoenix and Tucson). Assignment supports a high-acuity trauma center and an experienced orthopedic trauma team.

Assignment details

• Shift: 24-hour shifts; blocked scheduling with 7-day stretches (flexible scheduling available)
• Built-in recovery time between rotations
• Clinical mix: OR, inpatient care, and follow-up clinic
• Team: work alongside an additional Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon; dedicated orthopedic trauma and acute care surgery coverage model

Clinical responsibilities

• Operative and non-operative management of orthopedic trauma patients
• Trauma call coverage at a high-volume center
• Management of complex fractures, including pelvic and acetabular injuries
• Collaboration with trauma surgery, ICU, and emergency medicine teams
• Balance of surgical cases, inpatient care, and outpatient follow-up
• Accurate and timely documentation

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Completion of an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship
• Experience in high-acuity trauma care required
• Pelvic and acetabular fracture expertise preferred
• Active Arizona medical license or willingness to obtain
