Position highlights
- Provide orthopedic trauma and acute care surgery (ACS) coverage alongside an experienced orthopedic trauma partner.
- 183 24-hour shifts per year, organized into structured 7-day stretches with built-in recovery time for predictable scheduling.
- A balanced workload with protected operating room blocks and dedicated follow-up clinic time.
- Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support to streamline workflow and enhance patient care.
Clinical focus
- Manage high-acuity orthopedic trauma cases, including complex pelvic and acetabular fractures.
- Deliver comprehensive surgical and post-operative care for traumatic musculoskeletal injuries.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary trauma and surgical teams to coordinate patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with complex orthopedic trauma.
- Perform operative management for traumatic musculoskeletal conditions, with particular emphasis on pelvic and acetabular injuries.
- Participate in trauma call coverage and support acute care surgery needs.
- Provide outpatient follow-up and continuity of care.
- Collaborate with APPs, nursing staff, and hospital teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Completion of an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship.
- Proven experience managing high-acuity trauma cases, with strong expertise in pelvic and acetabular fracture management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team-oriented skills.
- A commitment to patient-centered, high-quality clinical care.
