Travel RN Med-Surg/Step-Down Float (Globe, AZ)

Join a dynamic team in Globe, AZ as a contract RN covering Med-Surg and Step-Down units. This opportunity starts ASAP with day shifts (7a–7p), 36-hour weeks, and a pay rate of $2,308 per 36 hours.

What we’re looking for

• Active RN license and graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience on Med-Surg and/or Step-Down units is preferred.
• Strong assessment skills, telemetry familiarity, and solid clinical judgment.
• Comfortable adapting quickly to different units and patient populations in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.

What you’ll do

• Provide hands-on nursing care across Med-Surg and Step-Down areas.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and continuously monitor patients’ conditions.
• Manage care for patients with a range of acuity and complex medical needs.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and ordered treatments.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes.
• Help with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and recovery expectations.
• Accurately document care and patient status in the EMR.
