Contract Travel RN Hospice (Missoula, MT)

Overview:
Provide hospice nursing care in home or inpatient settings, focusing on symptom management, comfort, patient/family education, and interdisciplinary communication.

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the practicing state.
• BLS required.
• Experience in hospice, palliative care, or end-of-life nursing preferred.
• Hospice/palliative care certifications preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, communication, and compassionate care skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient condition, pain, and symptoms; implement and adjust care plans.
• Administer medications and interventions to maintain comfort and manage symptoms.
• Educate patients and families on hospice services, disease progression, advance care planning, and medication use.
• Document care accurately and timely; communicate updates with the interdisciplinary hospice team.
• Provide emotional and psychosocial support to patients and families; coordinate community and spiritual resources as appropriate.
