Position Summary:
Provide direct nursing care in ICU/PCU/Telemetry/Med-Surg settings. Must be able to float to MSU as needed.

Requirements:

• Active Washington RN license
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience
• Competent across ICU/PCU/Telemetry/Med-Surg care and able to float to MSU

Core Responsibilities:

• Assess patient and family education needs and deliver appropriate teaching
• Implement and document patient safety measures (side rails, restraints, equipment use); follow restraint policy and complete evaluations
• Operate and troubleshoot PCU/Telemetry/Med-Surg equipment; access manuals and follow repair procedures
• Apply infection control, isolation procedures and standard precautions; document accordingly
• Maintain accurate, concise documentation of patient status, interventions, responses, and charges
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of physician orders; complete 24-hour order checks when assigned
• Report critical lab values to physicians per policy
• Give complete change-of-shift report to incoming staff
• Communicate clearly and accurately with other departments
• Maintain and restock emergency carts, patient room and general supplies
• Perform other duties as assigned
