Join a contract/travel team in Lewiston, ME supporting a psychiatric nursing unit on nights. This is a 13-week assignment beginning July 6, 2026, for experienced RNs who are comfortable working in a fast-paced mental health setting and providing coverage around the clock as needed.

What we’re looking for

• Active, valid State of Maine RN license.
• Minimum 2-year Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• At least 3 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 1 year in mental health/psychiatric nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training must be current before your start date.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills — you’ll work closely with patients and an interdisciplinary team.
• A proven ability to manage stress, make sound decisions under pressure, and be a reliable team player.
• Flexibility to provide coverage 24/7 as required.
• Note: Candidates with licensure hits will not be considered. Previous St. Mary’s employees are not accepted.

What you’ll do

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process across assigned areas of the unit.
• Participate in developing, updating, and implementing individualized, interdisciplinary care plans.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and help identify resources to support patient needs.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, compassionate, and effective psychiatric nursing care.
