Join a collaborative team in Machias, ME for a 13-week contract (days) starting July 14, 2026. Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in an Obstetrics & Gynecology unit, supporting antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-operative gynecologic patients.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse, graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in acute care
• Completion of general nursing and unit orientation
• Current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation, and STABLE certifications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency
• Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate

Responsibilities

• Deliver holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for patients commonly seen on the OB unit
• Demonstrate clinical competency, sound nursing judgment, patient education skills, and commitment to continuous quality improvement
• Independently perform unit-specific clinical skills and general RN duties: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate assigned patient care under charge nurse oversight
• Manage supplies and equipment, promote teamwork with physicians and unit/hospital staff, and adhere to all Standards of Nursing Practice
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital policies (including sexual harassment, advance directives, and ADA)
• Support the organization’s mission, vision, and values while providing age-appropriate care across the OB/GYN patient population
