Seeking a board-eligible OB/GYN for in-house locum tenens call coverage in Fredericksburg, VA (22401). Coverage is ASAP and ongoing; travel, lodging, and malpractice are provided by the agency.

Assignment details

• Service setting: Inpatient, call-only (in-house)
• Call type: In-house; reason: call coverage
• Coverage period: ASAP – ongoing

Clinical responsibilities

• Manage assigned inpatients and respond to in-house consults and deliveries
• Typical daily volume: 16–20 patients
• Required skills/procedures: management of low- and high-risk pregnancies; fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE); OB ultrasound performance and interpretation (Level I screening/viability and Level II targeted/anatomic); amniocentesis; routine vaginal deliveries (including low forceps and c-section decision-making); management of complicated deliveries (c-section, breech, multiples, abruptions, VBACs)
• Preferred: repair of 3rd- and 4th-degree perineal lacerations

• EMR: Epic
• Support staff: Registered Nurses (5), Advanced Practice Providers (PA/NPs: 2)
• Hospital privileges: temporary privileges available; permanent privileges not required

Minimum qualifications

• Board status: Board-eligible required
• State licensure: VA medical license
• Certifications: BLS
